A new tournament brings Miami to six major players and honors Roddick
The new tournament tennis Miami Tennis Cup starts today in the ski Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, with some of the best players in the world and in order to pay tribute to tennis star Andy Roddick , who gave his farewell as a professional last September . It is the first competition of its kind to take place in this country and has six of the best position players in the ATP ranking, according to the Group We, event organizer.Among the professionals involved include Andy Murray, who won Olympic gold at the London Olympics, U.S. Open champion and currently ranks third in the ATP, behind Roger Federer and Novac Djokovic of Serbia, the first figure in this competition ránking.También three days the Spanish Juan Carlos Ferrero, one of the world exnúmero, and Nicolas Almagro , the Colombian Alejandro Falla and American John Isner."We are delighted to announce the first annual tennis tournament Miami Tennis Cup, a global competition that brings first class to some of the best players," said Julian Wortelboer, Wortelboer NOS.Para Group president, is an "honor" not only having "some of the greatest professional tennis players iconic" but know that part of the "legends of the sports world," as Murray.According to the organizers expected 7,000 fans attending the Miami Tennis Cup, which will be broadcast live on ESPN3.Roddick, 30, retired in September to conclude the U.S. Open, a farewell to previously announced the conclusion of the tournament.
